“Beneath the Surface” is an exploration of hidden emotion and the quiet energy of the natural world. Painted intuitively, layer by layer, it captures a sense of movement, memory, and mystery. Through loose, expressive brushwork and a rich interplay of colour, I invite the viewer to look beyond the surface — to feel the depth and fleeting beauty that often goes unseen. I wasn’t trying to capture a particular place, but rather the shifting light, the softened edges, the way memory blurs into imagination. It’s a piece about trusting the unseen, about listening to the quiet spaces within ourselves, and letting emotion guide the hand.
